December and January are great times for pausing and planning. There’s a quality in the air that happens as the calendar ticks over on 31 December, that doesn’t happen at any other time. It’s the potential of a fresh 365 days ahead. It’s the possibility of courage we pry open when we pause our daily routine. Grab this moment to reflect and write. Here are a few prompts I’ve been journaling on:

:: What do you know now that you didn’t know on 1 January last year?

:: What are you most proud of in the last year?

:: What do you need to forgive yourself for?

:: What are you most grateful for?

:: Who are you most grateful for?

:: What would you like to stop doing in the new year?

:: What would you like to start doing?

:: What would you like to keep doing?

:: What skills would you like to cultivate in the new year?

:: What and who do you want to prioritise in the new year? (Note: What will be the cost of not doing this?)

:: Who do you need to recruit onto your personal board of directors to support you in your living, leading and loving in the new year?

:: What are your two core values supporting you going into the new year?

:: Who are you striving to become, what are you striving to practice, in the next twelve months?

There’s power in pausing to ponder. It’s where possibility lives.
